Paul Wikstrom Wins Republican Endorsement for U.S. House Engineer and pilot to challenge 25-year incumbent Betty McCollum

LITTLE CANADA, MN — Paul Wikstrom yesterday received the endorsement of the Fourth

Congressional District (CD4) Republican Party for U.S. House, setting up a general election

challenge to 25-year incumbent Betty McCollum.

Delegates at the CD4 convention in Roseville voted to endorse Wikstrom, an engineering

manager and certified flight instructor who has pledged to make government accountability the centerpiece of his campaign. Wikstrom received the endorsement on the first ballot, demonstrating unified support from delegates across the district.

“I’m honored by the trust delegates have placed in me today,” said Wikstrom. “But this isn’t

about me — it’s about the people of CD4 who deserve a representative who will actually

fight for them. For 77 years, this district has sent Democrats to Congress. For 25 of those

years, Betty McCollum has held this seat while billions in fraud were stolen from Minnesota

taxpayers. That era ends in November.”

“Betty McCollum has been in Congress longer than some of her constituents have been

alive,” Wikstrom continued. “She’s become part of the problem. I’m an engineer — I solve

problems. And I’m ready to bring that approach to Washington.”

The Fourth Congressional District covers Saint Paul and surrounding suburbs in Ramsey

and Washington counties.
